Tucker Rocky Motorcycle Helmets Fail Penetration Testing

Inadequate helmet protection can increase the risk of serious injury to the wearer

June 22, 2016

Tucker Rocky is recalling about 7,000 Speed and Strength SS2200 motorcycle helmets.

These helmets failed penetration testing and therefore fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 218, "Motorcycle Helmets." Sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, and XXL are included in the recall.

Anyone who wears these helmets risks serious injury in the event of a crash.

Tucker Rocky will notify owners and replace the helmet, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.

For more information, owners may contact Tucker Rocky customer service at (817) 258-9247.
