Priano Rosso Pesto Sauce sold at ALDI stores in 30 states and the District of Columbia has been recalled by its manufacturer because it may contain milk and egg ingredients that are not listed on the label.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk or eggs run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Recalled Product Details

The affected Priano Rosso Pesto Sauce was packaged in a 6.70 oz. glass jar with a multicolored printed paper label and a twist-off metal lid. The impacted jars of sauce contain a UPC code of 041498147631 and a lot code of LA 016, LA 017, LA 052, LA 053, LA 085, LAB 312, LAB 324, or LAB 325.

Where was it sold?

The recalled Priano Rosso Pesto Sauce was sold at ALDI stores in Arkansas, California, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Vermont, and West Virginia.

The product was also available for purchase to ALDI customers in the Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and Los Angeles areas through the company's partnership with Instacart, a grocery delivery service.

To date, no illnesses related to the consumption of this product have been reported.
