Undeclared Nut Allergen Prompts Recall of Ice Cream Products from Five Stores

No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall

H-E-B is recalling its H-E-B Creamy Creations Cherry Vanilla Light Churn Style Half-Gallon Ice Cream from five stores because it may contain an undeclared nut allergen.

Anyone with an allergy or a severe sensitivity to almonds risks a serious, potentially fatal—allergic reaction if he or she consumes the affected product.

This recall affects only the following H-E-B store locations in Texas: Carrizo Springs, Crystal City, Eagle Pass #2, Lytle, and Pearsall. It impacts only one lot code, which is dated SELL BY OCT 19 17 ENJOY BY NOV 18 17 and has a time stamp of 13:48, 13:49, 13:50, 13:51, 13:52, 13:53, 13:54, 13:55, 13:56, 13:57, or 13:58.

Consumers in possession of the product can take it back to the store for a full refund.
