A heavy equipment manufacturer is issuing a recall for unsafe cranes and vehicles.

Iowa Mold Tooling is recalling certain Series III Cranes and 2013-2016 Dominator-Propane, Dominator I, Dominator II, Dominator III, and Dominator IV vehicles equipped with cranes. The recalled cranes include models 6000, 7500, 8600, 9500, 10000, 12000, and 14000. The cranes have a valve bank cover that may crack and fall from the crane during transport.

If the valve bank cover detaches from the crane it could become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Iowa Mold Tooling is including about 1,600 cranes and about 800 vehicles in its recall announcement.

The company will notify owners, and dealers will replace the valve cover with a thicker cover, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin during March 2016.

Owners with questions about this recall can contact Iowa Mold Tooling at (800) 247-5958.
