Citing a potential for injury, Vizio is recalling about 245,000 flat-panel TVs.

The company announced the recall after more than 50 complaints reported that the TVs tipped over when the stand assembly failed. No injuries have been reported.

what models are included?

The recall includes the Vizio E-series 39- and 42-inch Full-Array LED flat-panel TVs that were sold at BestBuy, Meiger, Target, Walmart and other stores nationwide, as well as online at Amazon.com, Costco.com, Meiger.com, and Sams.com between December 2013 and June 2014 for $370 to $450.

What should I do?

Consumers using the stand assembly should immediately detach the stand, place the TV in a safe location and contact Vizio for a replacement. Consumers with wall-mounted TVs should request the replacement stand assembly in case it is needed for future use.
