WindowTex is recalling about 6,800 custom-made fabric roller window shades.

A steel pin can become dislodged and cause the shade to fall from the mounting bracket.

The recalled shades have an idler with a steel pin inserted into one end of the roller tube. The steel pin is used to connect the window shade to the metal mounting bracket. Roller shades included in this recall have idlers with model number D15T or D20T.

They were sold at WindowTex authorized dealers nationwide from April 2014 through June 2014 for between $100 and $500.

Consumers with the recalled window shades should immediately contact the place of purchase for instructions on how to schedule a service call for free replacement idlers. Consumers can also contact WindowTex for help identifying their authorized dealer. Authorized dealers are contacting all known purchasers.

WindowTex can be contacted at (877) 294-3580.
