Hyundai Motor America has initiated a recall affecting certain model year 2018 Hyundai Genesis G80 and Genesis G90 vehicles.

What's the problem?

The windshield and rear window on the affected vehicles may have been installed with incorrect primer, potentially reducing the glass bonding strength.

If the glass bonding strength is reduced over time, the windshield and rear window may detach while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.

What happens next?

Hyundai will notify owners of the recalled Genesis vehicles beginning in late June 2018. Local Hyundai dealers will then replace the front and rear glass, free of charge.

Vehicle owners with further questions about this recall can reach Hyundai customer service at (855) 371-9460—provide recall reference number 177.
