Faulty refrigeration equipment is prompting a trailer recall from Winnebago.

The manufacturer is recalling certain model year 2016 Winnie Drop recreational trailers. The refrigerator compartment may not be completely sealed, potentially allowing carbon monoxide to enter the main cabin.

If carbon monoxide were to enter the main cabin, it can increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning to occupants, which could lead to death.

About 420 trailers are potentially affected by this issue.

The remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.

Owners with questions or concerns about this recall can contact Winnebago customer service at (574) 825-5250.
