An auto safety product manufacturer is issuing a recall for defective lamps.

ECCO Safety Group is voluntarily recalling certain portable and magnetically mountable LED Worklamps. The affected work/utility lamps are powered by a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that can be charged using a vehicle charger (12 volt adapter) or an AC adapter. These lamps may overheat, increasing the risk of injury or fire.

ECCO is recalling about 14,500 units with part numbers EW2461 and EW2461-NA.

The company will notify owners and will replace the worklamps, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 15, 2015.

Owners with questions about the recall can contact ECCO customer service at (800) 635-5900.
